Deia is a beautiful picturesque village situated in the Majorcan Tramuntana mountains, near Valldemossa, Sóller and Bunyola. The municipality of Deià includes five kilometers of coast, including incredible places such as the tips of Sa Foradada and Deià, Cala Deià, the small cove of Llucalcari and the Teix, a mountain of 1,062 m with a spectacular view.
For its peacefulness and the extraordinary beauty of its landscape, Deià is since the nineteenth century home to many artists, musicians and writers, such as the English writer Robert Graves and the American painter and archaeologist William Waldren.
Traditionally dedicated to agriculture and fishing, Deià has become a touristic town without losing its unique charm, so it has a small, but select, range of accommodation and a variety of bars and restaurants.
Deià also offers a wide range of cultural activities and diverse hiking routes where you can admire the traditional terraces of olive trees.
