In summer, Majorcan beaches offer spectacular shows, as they are invaded by surfers, windsurfers and kite surfers who exhibit their skills near the coast, while the elegant sails of sailing boats of all sizes decorate the sea horizon.

Majorca is a very popular destination for divers. The small, shallow coves of the south and east coasts are specially recommended to practice this sport and observe the underwater world.

On the north tip of the island of Majorca, just a few kilometres away from the Monnaber Nou hotel is the Cap de Formentor, one of the most magic places on the island, which is undoubtedly  worth visiting. It is a narrow peninsula of about 12 by 3 km and from its lighthouse you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the cliffs, the Mediterranean Sea and on clear days you can even see the island of Menorca.

The beach of Cala Formentor, of fine white sand, is also known by its beauty and singularity. In front of the beach is the little isle of Formentor.

The Salón náutico de Palma returns this year with a new name and a new format. The ” Boat Show Palma” will be held at the Moll Vell between the 1st and 5th May and will offer an exhibition of about 38,500, showing new and established products in the marine industry and a total of 47 vessels with a average length of 35 meters. From the Monnaber Nou hotel, we recommend all boat lovers not to miss this event, which this year will also include sporting events, a film festival, a sample of seafood cuisine and an exhibition of classic boats.
The goals of this edition will be to stimulate economic activity in the sector, encourage recreational and sport boating and promote the Balearic Islands as a nautical tourist destination.
