Situated in the north of the beautiful island of Majorca, between the Tramuntana mountain range and the Mediterranean Sea, the Hotel & Spa Monnaber Nou is a place full of history with eight centuries of tradition. Originally built in the XIIIth century, while the island was dominated by the Arabs, the property was then given to the earl of Carrós for his support to King Jaime I of Aragon during the conquest of the island of Majorca.
In those days, this territory full of olive, almond and carob trees on the foothills of the Tramuntana mountain range, currently known as Monnaber, received the name of Muntnaber, from the Arabic word Mutanáuuir, which means “hill of flowers”.
The hotel has been restored and redecorated in an exquisite style inspired by Majorcan tradition that takes visitors to past splendorous times. Immersed in Majorcan history, the hotel charms visitors with details of its heritage, featuring its noble and agricultural origins – water mills, wells, fountains, its courtyard…
The Hotel & Spa Monnaber Nou not only combines tradition, elegance and comfort, but it also offers a great variety of services, a friendly and helpful staff and a very pleasant atmosphere. Our facilities also include three swimming pools, a SPA and an excellent restaurant. Our guests also have the opportunity to practice their favourite sport or hobby either in our own facilities or in the surroundings of the hotel.
